Steak 🥩 was a top notch.
I’ve eaten all kinds of steaks, mostly mad ones, to the two mich star ones, and this one falls into a one star category, at least.
Remember, in Europe, medium is more like Medium-rare in the states.

I had one of the best Hirsch (elk/stag) steaks I've ever had in Austria here. It was excellent. All of the wildwochen selections were excellent. The view is also incredibly beautiful, it reminded me of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the USA. The excellent quality steak paired with the lovely view, great atmosphere and good service (and fresh cold beer) made this a great experience I would recommend to anyone, local or abroad.
One of the best places to get traditional food at. Homemade bloodsausages, perfectly cooked meats, potatoes in all their best forms. Truly a great place to eat and celebrate at.

Hidden in a quiet nook deep in the Mühlviertel, Waldschenke is a mandatory stop if you're ever in the area. I've been here on many occasions and have enjoyed every visit. The menu is consistently good, prepared with fresh, local ingredients. As it's situated near the Sternsteinwald, a short walk through the woods makes a perfect appetizer.
Excellent place for hiking as well as dining in.
Beautiful view and 5 *food, friendly service. Crispy clean bathroom with baby care station. Steak was generous in size and perfectly cooked to requirement.
